Dr. Lam comes from a Chinese-Vietnamese family, but was born and grew up in France until the end of high school. She then moved to the United States where she pursued her undergraduate studies and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemical Engineering and a Master of Science (MS) in Materials Science from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). After working as a research & development battery engineer for several years, she decided to change careers to become a dentist and has not looked back ever since.

Dr. Lam obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree at the UCSF School of Dentistry where she graduated at the top of her class and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) dental honor society. She then completed her residency in Pediatric Dentistry at UCSF where she served as chief resident and received her specialty Certificate. She is now a part-time teaching faculty member at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry.
She is currently an active member of:

Dr. Lam and her husband have 2 children and live on the Peninsula. She loves to travel and looks forward to discovering many new places, cultural events and culinary adventures, both near and far. She enjoys spending time with family and friends. She can also speak French, Spanish and Vietnamese.
